Defibrillation
is an electric shock applied to the
heart of someone who has an ineffective rythm
(most often known as ventricular fibrillation).
Applied
rapidly, the technique has a positive effect
and may restore regular rythm. Time is the enemy.
The technique is easy to do, but needs to be done
quickly. This is why ambulances, first responders
and others are now equipped with a portable AED
(automated external defibrillator)

do you find defbrillators ? |
| Many
companies are buying defibrillators to protect their employees.
They are also widely found in municipal recreation facilities
(pools, arenas, community halls). |
| Who
can use one ? |
| Anyone
who has followed the basic training can use a defibrillator.
The machines are very "user friendly" and coach you
through the process wih voice prompts and flashing lights. |

offer defibrillator training to companies and individuals. A
certified course (which includes CPR) takes about four hours. |
